Never let anyone tell you, that your dreams can't come true. Eventually someone's going to do, what you dream of doing. So why not you?
I am thrilled to have the opportunity to lead Round Table India this year. I thank the entire floor of Round Table India, for having reposed your faith in me and I promise that I will use my energy along with my experience, to ensure that the goodwill and repute of Round Table India and this jewel, which I proudly wear now, is further strengthened.
Change is what keeps our movement fresh with new leaders coming up every year, bringing with them, innovation and enthusiasm in Tabling along with new dreams.
"A good leader is not one, who is necessarily the best among everybody. He is the one, who can bring out the best, in everybody."
Tabling is an association of Young men and there in, lies our strength. What is needed from leadership in Tabling today is Energy, Dynamism and understanding of what makes today's Tablers tick.
This year, your National Board, called the "Dream Team", would like to encourage all of you to set up common goals and create platforms in all facets of tabling, so that you can contribute to this movement the way you would love to, and in whatever facet you would enjoy contributing to. I request you to have a look at the "Plan Manual" compiled by the National Board this year, which lays out most of the plans and dreams of the Dream Team for the year ahead.
The focus would remain on two important aspects - Bonding and Friendship, amongst all of us, which we believe, is the function of our association.
And Building Brand - "Round Table India", which in our minds, is the need of the hour and also the key to success in Fundraising, Community Service and Extension. More funds will lead to more community service in Round Table India; and further extensions will lead to increased fellowship within our movement.
Your National Board has come up with a lot of innovative ideas this year to achieve the desired results in all the facets of Tabling. The launch of the Pocket Directory during the Change over Banquet at Goa was one such innovative idea of the Dream Team.
With the launch of various national fundraising initiatives like Marathon, Golf, Freedom Drive, Concerts, FORT, etc, it is our desire that these become platforms for all the Tables of Fundraising to raise funds and generate visibility for the movement.
A wonderful new initiative this year, will be the introduction of a Twinkler-specific program that will aim at encouraging our Twinklers to embrace qualities such as friendship and leadership, making it a complete family experience.
Friends, a Dream that we see while sleeping is called a Dream. And a Dream that we see with open eyes is called a vision. With this thought, and with the dream of making Round Table India fly high, I decided to keep your National Theme of Round Table India for the year 2009-10 as "DREAM ON".
Dream what you want to dream, Do what you want to do, Be what you want to be, Because you have only one life and this one chance to make it happen. DREAM ON!!!
Together, let us give our best to this family organization in order to achieve all our dreams for Round Table India. As I truly believe that:
Dreams we Dream together will certainly turn into reality.
I humbly seek your support towards all our endeavours during the course of the year and wish each one of you all the very best for the Tabling year ahead and "DREAM ON".
