Blood is the most important human fluid. Without them survival is highly impossible. Blood type is also known as blood group which actually means classification of blood cells based on the presence or absence of inherited antigenic substances on the surface of body of red blood cells. The rarest blood type is AB negative, B Negative blood type. These may be like proteins, carbohydrates, glycoproteins, or glycolipids, depending on the blood group system, and also some of these antigens are also available on the surface of other types of cells of various tissues. Around of 30 human blood group systems are now recognized and identified by the International Society of Blood Transfusion. One can basically classify them into four major groups group A, group B, Group AB and Group O. The ABO system is the most vitally important blood-group system in human-blood transfusion. The Rhesus system is another second most significant and important blood-group system in human-blood transfusion process. The most vitally significant Rhesus antigen is the RhD antigen because it is the most immunogenic and important of the five main rhesus antigens known to man kind. AB is the rarest group available on this planet and O is the Universal donor. AB is also known as universal recipient. __________________
